Mellow Yellow it is still around.
actually Monday, I was taking kids to school when on the radio Mellow Yellow was playing. When Kaydeebug came home from school she was still singing it. She said she couldn't get out of her mind. And then she was working on her homework and I noticed she had a problem and she came unglued and started to cry. She said she hated me. (Broke my heart) as her why and she said. I told my friends that I can't date till 38 years old. and they made fun of me. and then she threw her stuff and went into her room and slammed the door. I waited a few minutes and checked up on her. She said she didn't want to see me. I told her there had to be a lot more then that. Because it was silly. I reminded her that she is too young to even think of dating yet. and when the time was right we would talk about. I just want her to be happy and make the right decision. She agreed it was alright to treat her as a princess. but later on her sister was singing Mellow Yellow. and then today and right now it is going threw my head I though I left that behind in the 60s

learning to be Dad overagain
Even thought I raised 4 Children, I'm learning I didn't know much then, but they turned out well. Know at 63 I'm raising a 17 year old boy, and a 8 year old girl, and a 4 year old girl. these kids are real special in my life. By paying closer attention to them I learning alot about myself and life. I was always told that children are God's gift to us, I use to disagree with that. But know that I'm a lot older and God has awarded me and my wife another chance. I can say that is right on. It is a gift From God. And maybe my last chance. they are a hand full and sometimes drive me crazy. trying to teach Ben how to drive (Tell you what six flags isn't that scary) My 8 year old Kaydeebug thinks she is a princes and will not open her own doors. (Which I believe If I play along with that she is gone to expect the same thing from her boyfriends when she get Older). With both girls I learned Barbie walks on feet not her head. and Just watching them play together is something else. I missed out on this time with my other children. last night driving home from Fort Wayne Kaydeebug and I was listening to a old tape song called Daddy's Girl and she said yet That's me and the song ended tell your Daddy you love him. She said. Dad you know I love you. so do you think I have to say it all the time. I said I know I can see it your eyes and your smile. when we are together. she smiled and went to sleep.
